Held from 8 -10 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Cityscape Global 2015 has once again proven to be a huge success, underlining the long term confidence in and positive outlook for the UAE real estate market.

Cityscape Global 2015 attracted a staggering number of over 43,000 participants and has marked the 4th consecutive year of double digit growth for the exhibition.

Growing from 31,000 square meters in 2014 to over 40,000 square meters of exhibition space, Cityscape Global 2015 hosted more than 300 exhibitors from 30 different countries who have launched a number of high profile projects comprising leisure, hospitality, retail, commercial and residential components.

Major UAE developers present at the event included Emaar, Dubai Properties, Nakheel, Meraas, DAMAC, Dubai South, Union Properties and Deyaar who were showcasing their latest portfolio to regional and international investors. Others such as Majid Al Futtaim, DMCC, Kleindienst Group and Al Barari exhibited for the first time this year, displaying current and future developments.

A significant focus has been placed on completing phases of developments ahead of the World Expo 2020. The Villages, an innovative concept in urban living has been unveiled by Dubai South; Meydan One by Meydan City Corporation and Burj 2020 by Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).

Projects taking centre stage at the event include 1/JBR, a new luxury residential development by Dubai Properties; Creekside 18 residences in Dubai Creek Harbour by Emaar, and Palm Promenade by Nakheel, which will transform Palm Jumeirah trunk into a pedestrian-friendly beach, park, retail and café complex.

First time exhibitor Majid Al Futtaim showcased three projects of its Communities division: Al Zahia, the first mixed-use gated community in Sharjah covering 1 million sqm of residential, commercial and retail components; Lebanon’s Waterfront City, 10 kilometres from Beirut City, featuring more than 2,000 residential homes and a 72,000 sqm office district; and Al Mouj Muscat in Oman stretching over six kilometres of pristine beach, with 4,000 residential properties, a 400-berth marina, a Greg Norman signature golf course and much more.

Jumeirah Golf Estates, home to the DP World Tour Championship and famous for its exclusive golf residences in Dubai, announced the development of a new retail centre, which is due to open in September 2016. The brand new 45,000 sq ft centre will feature a new-concept grocery store, restaurant and café. Situated on the edge of the Wildflower development, it is set to be the first retail unit to open in the community, which is already home to more than 700 families.

Dubai-based AZIZI Developments showcased its residential offerings which includes twenty residential projects worth over AED 4.5 billion of investments in Dubai’s Al Furjan area. Al Furjan, which is part of Jebel Ali 1, is minutes away from Dubai Marina, JBR, the Al Maktoum Airport and the Expo 2020 site.
